Better Late than Never!

Well it has take us until Term 4 to update our Blog but better late than never!
Welcome to Room 19 2010!
This year has been a really busy one! We visited the Maritime Museum last term and learnt about how and why people moved to NZ!




As part of our topic last term we also made satchels which were decorated with designs from the country we came from. Inside the satchels were a flag from our country of origin, a map and an ID card. Here are some photos of our sharing day.

"My favourite thing from last term was making our satchels. It was a lot of fun especially when we got to use the dye!" - Micaih

"Last term we went to the Maritime Museum. Room 19 and some of the Room 21 children rode on a boat called "Ted Ashby" it was lots of fun" - Reina

Get Growing Topic

Wow its halfway through Term 4 already!!
Room 19 is learning about Growing things this term!

























We are participating in the Get Growing competition sponsored by Fresh n Fruity yoghurt. The first thing we got to do was EAT the yoghurt so we could use the yoghurt pots. We then planted strawberry plants into the yoghurt pots. Here are some pics of us eating and planting.

Class of 2009

Welcome back to a new term and a new class. Room 19 is now a class of 30 and we are settling well into the new routines! Watch this space for info about our Trip to long bay next week!

Famous People Day

At the conclusion of our famous and significant people topic last term we held a famous people day. We dressed up as the person we had studied and the other classes in our team asked us questions about our person. Here are a couple of pictures of that day!
